Support Services Supervisor I

The Office of Academic Records and Registrar is seeking an individual to manage the university’s One Stop Center. The One Stop manager plays a major role in the development of the university’s schedule of classes, and also assigns staffing resources as appropriate for daily operations of the One Stop Center. The One Stop Center provides services to approximately 43,000 students each semester. The manager is needed to supervise staff responsible for registration, transcript, verification, transfer credit, and diploma services.
This position will also have oversight for the web-based information systems, and implementation of data management processes. The One Stop Center manager will guide and monitor transcript, degree progress, and registration services. The manager is expected to direct and coordinate all functions related to the One Stop Center to ensure federal laws and institutional policies are followed.
Recruits, screens, hires and trains staff. Evaluates employee performance and provides guidance and feedback to assigned staff. Counsels, disciplines and/or terminates employees as required.
Develops and implements program goals and strategies which are integrated with the school’s or college’s academic and business plans. Regularly communicates with faculty, staff and administrators to facilitate attainment of the center’s objectives. Monitors progress and adjusts plans or targets as needed. Stays informed of emerging trends in student services and looks for opportunities to address these trends in program goals.
Oversees the development of program policies and procedures and operational and information systems to support program efforts. Ensures that internal policies and procedures are consistent with university and regulatory requirements. Ensures procedures and systems are well documented. Develops quality control standards and measures the center and staff performance using these standards. This position will report to the associate registrar.
