Keck Medicine of USC

Keck Medicine of USC includes the Keck School of Medicine of USC, the region’s first medical school; the renowned USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, one of the first comprehensive cancer centers established by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States; the USC Care Medical Group, a medical faculty practice; the Keck Medical Center of USC, which includes two acute care hospitals: 401-licensed bed Keck Hospital of USC and 60-licensed bed USC Norris Cancer Hospital; and USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, a 158-licensed bed community hospital. It also includes more than 40 outpatient facilities, some at affiliated hospitals, in Los Angeles, Orange, Kern, Tulare and Ventura counties.

HR Information Systems Specialist - Human Resources - Full Time 8 Hour Days (Exempt) (Non-Union)

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related field required.

Minimum Experience/Knowledge:

  • At least one year experience administrating and supporting an LMS application such as Healthstream.
  • Proficient in MS Office such as Word, Excel, Power Point, andOutlook.
  • Experience in hospital setting preferred.
  • Highly proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of communicating with all levels.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Other HR Applications (Workday, Cornerstone, Kronos, or Document Management Systems) experience a plus.

Required License/Certification:

  • HR Certification Preferred. 
  • Fire and Safety Certification.  If employee does not have card upon hire one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date.

The HR Systems Specialist will be responsible to provide ongoing administration and support for Healthstream - Learning Management System (LMS), which includes ongoing maintenance, upgrades, reporting, and end-user support. This incumbent will work closely with various department leaders to review proposed training content/material in order to establish effective learning modules using best practice and maximizing Healthstream functionalities. The HR Systems Specialist will be expected to maintains daily operations and monitors all HR systems to assure processes are functioning properly and timely and to working close collaboration with HR Systems team, IT and Campus HRIT to support and leverage HR system solutions to optimize processes and realize efficiencies.
