Keck Medicine of USC includes the Keck School of Medicine of USC, the region’s first medical school; the renowned USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, one of the first comprehensive cancer centers established by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States; the USC Care Medical Group, a medical faculty practice; the Keck Medical Center of USC, which includes two acute care hospitals: 401-licensed bed Keck Hospital of USC and 60-licensed bed USC Norris Cancer Hospital; and USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, a 158-licensed bed community hospital. Nurse Practitioner - Employee Health - Full-Time Exempt 8 Hour Days

The RN / NP is a key member of the Employee Health team.  He or she should prove instrumental in managing programs, managing employees and in ensuring a safe and effective work environment. Specific duties include but are not limited to:  ensuring that accurate and timely reports are provided, educating staff, as well as providing clinical, technical and preventative skills in the workplace, The employee also oversees the Return To Work Program (RTW), is actively involved with the Illness and Injury Prevention Program, manages the Employee Blood-Borne Pathogen Program, manages the Transitional and Modified-Duty Programs, maintains well-organized and up-to-date record keeping systems (of both current and terminated employees) while ensuring confidentiality of employee health records. The RN/NP will coordinate the employee Annual Health Assessment (AHA) schedule, manages the hospital Immunization Program while participating in a collaborative work environment as demonstrated through teamwork and effective communication.  The position dictates a relationship with employees and volunteers and has the responsibility for exercising independent judgment.

Minimum Education:
Current Licensed Registered Nurse and /or Nurse Practitioner license in the State of California.

Minimum Experience/Knowledge:
One year experience in an acute care setting or occupational setting immediately prior to application strongly preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent public relation skills
Highly organized and detail-minded
Computer skills required
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Capable of communicating with all levels of employee-administrative to staff.
Proficient analytical thinking and creative skills

Required License/Certification:
BLS for Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association.
