Support Coordinator - Oncology Hematology – Full Time 8 Hour Days (Non-Exempt) (Non-Union)

Has in depth knowledge of all the functions of the front office. Coordinates clinic schedules, patient appointments and follow up care.  Answers patient phone calls, prepare charts for visits and chart transfer to infusion office.  Assist the office with clerical duties including but not limited to disability forms, patient letters and daily new patient charts.  Must work with any and every physician in the Oncology Hematology Clinic.  Other duties as assigned.

Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, read and write English proficiently. Must be comfortable with computers and medical terminology. In depth knowledge of all insurance types.


Minimum Education: • High school graduate or equivalent Minimum Experience/Knowledge: • Entry level accepted; 1+ years experience in acute care or ambulatory care setting preferred. • Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing. • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. • Familiarity with word processing, IDX, Cerner, PBAR and scheduling software is preferred.
