Administrative Assistant - Care for the Caregiver - Full Time 8 Hour Days (Non-Exempt) (Non-Union)

The Administrative Assistant performs varied administrative and general office duties for the department. The Administrative Assistant performs clerical, reception, and administrative duties that support the functioning of the department. Provides administrative support for all management staff in that department, including, but not limited, scheduling and coordination of meetings/seminars/travel, coordinating priorities throughout the day, and performing independent and collaborative projects as needed.
Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required. Combined experience/education may act as substitute for minimum education. Minimum Experience/Knowledge: 3 years of related secretarial or specialized clerical and administrative experience. Working knowledge of word processing and Microsoft Office applications. Detail oriented individual with a high level of accuracy. Cooperative attitude and willingness to learn and assist others. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to manage time in order to meet important deadlines. Capable of discerning and maintain confidentiality of information. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Required License/Certification: Fire and Safety Certification: If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only).
