Administrative Budget Assistant/Technician

Leonard Davis School of Gerontology Los Angeles, California

The USC Family Caregiver Support Center is seeking an Administrative Budget Assistant to join our team!

This is a full-time hourly position that will require substantial commitment and flexibility. Work schedule varies from 8:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M, Monday through Friday with some weekends as needed. This position will work remotely with occasional travel to campus as needed. A valid state driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

The Administrative Budget Assistant will provide support with all financial activities related to the center. As part of the administrative team, the Administrative Budget Assistant will assist with processing outgoing/incoming payments on behalf of the center. The candidate will also prepare reimbursement reports and ensure expenditures are aligned with contract/grant budgets, monitor subcontracts with other agencies, and act as a community liaison.       

Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to processing purchase orders, invoices, check requests, budget preparation, financial projections, monitoring payroll activity, reconciling expenditures, preparing vendor contracts, and producing financial reports.   

Our Ideal Candidate:

•           Will possess a bachelor’s degree

•           Is proficient in Microsoft Excel

•           Has previous experience working with sponsored projects

•           Is highly organized and able to multitask 

•           Has great customer service skills  

•           Bilingual (any language) preferred

This position is funded grant funded. Accordingly, this position is contingent upon receipt of the necessary funding from this or any subsequent grant to continue employment.  ​

Minimum Education: Associate's degree, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education Minimum Experience: 3 years Minimum Field of Expertise: Secretarial, clerical or administrative experience including some budget, financial or payroll experience.
