Assistant Professor of Clinical Occupational Therapy

The Mrs. T.H. Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy at the University of Southern California invites applicants for one full-time clinical faculty position.  

The successful candidate will work with the Division’s current faculty members to support implementation of the Division’s strategic plan, teach core courses in the entry-master’s occupational therapy program, and participate in research and service activities. The primary functions of this position will include (1) coordination, implementation, and tracking of the strategic planning goals, priorities and outcomes; (2) teaching foundational and qualitative research coursework in occupational therapy to promote evidence-based decision-making; and (3) conducting research and service activities (e.g., staff trainings, resource/program development, environmental modification) related to supporting participation of individuals with sensory differences, such as those with, or at-risk for autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Qualifications include an earned terminal degree (O.T.D. or Ph.D. in occupational science or occupational therapy); teaching experience in higher education; experience in strategic planning and coordinating academic initiatives; experience in research and community outreach for individuals with ASD; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and current license to practice occupational therapy in California.
