The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC) and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in the Department of Pediatrics in the Division of Hematology, Oncology and Blood and Marrow Transplantation, are actively seeking a full time faculty member for the position of Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics.

The Division of Hematology, Oncology and Blood and Marrow Transplantation at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) within the Department of Pediatrics at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California (USC) is recruiting for an Assistant Professor specializing in solid tumors and/or hematologic malignancies. He/She will hold a primary academic appointment in the Department of Pediatrics of the USC Keck School of Medicine at the level of Assistant Professor. In this position, he/she is expected to provide clinical service with the solid tumor and/or hematologic malignancy service. The remainder of time will be spent teaching and conducting research. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year post fellowship experience with a research interest in AYA and outcomes research.

The Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases (CCCBD) is the pediatric component of the NCI-designated USC-Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and is one of the largest and top-ranked pediatric hematology-oncology programs in the U.S., serving one of our nation’s most diverse patient populations.  It hosts an ACGME accredited Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Fellowship and advanced specialty post graduate sub-specialty fellowships. The CCCBD has been continuously ranked by the U.S. News & World Report in the top ten pediatric cancer programs every year since the rankings were launched in 2008. Our large Clinical Trials Operation supports active clinical trials programs in hematology, oncology and BMT and offers unsurpassed unique research opportunities through several pediatric clinical trial consortia headquartered at the Center including the TACL Consortium, and the Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant Consortium (PBMTC).

CHLA is a premier pediatric teaching hospital affiliated with USC since 1932, which is the oldest private research university in the Western U.S. and among the top universities in the nation.
