Assistant Professor of Human and Evolutionary Biology

Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences Faculty Los Angeles, California

The Human & Evolutionary Biology (HEB) section of the Department of Biological Sciences in the Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences of the University of Southern California (Los Angeles, CA) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professorship of Biological Sciences in the area of neural control of metabolism, which may be related to food intake and body weight regulation, fluid and sodium balance control, gut-brain signaling, and/or metabolic diseases. The anticipated start date is August 16, 2023. 

Applicants should hold a doctoral degree, with demonstrated research experience and excellence. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching, and to develop an active externally funded research program. The annual base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $95,200.
