The Associate Chief Nurse Officer (CNO) is responsible for the overall operations, oversight of budget develop/management, program planning, human and materials resource allocation of inpatient nursing services for the Keck Hospital. This individual will assess, plan, implement and evaluate all aspects of programs and ensure their financial viability, quality of service, efficient and effective operation. The Associate CNO is responsible for ensuring that twenty-four hour accountability for the delivery of quality patient care and services as well as operational management of assigned area(s) is consistently provided. The job encompasses integration, facilitation and coordination of leadership, management, and operational services. This individual serves as a professional role model, leader, mentor and resource to the nursing team. Consistently ensures that staff possesses knowledge and skills necessary to provide competent and compassionate care to meet the needs of our patients. The individual must consistently support the mission and values of the organization and possess advanced operational and managerial knowledge and experience in nursing services administration. This position reports to the Chief Nursing Officer
Minimum Education: • Graduate from an accredited Registered Nursing program. • Bachelors and Master’s degree in Nursing Required. • DNP preferred. Minimum Experience/Knowledge: • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in nursing administration/management position required. • Consistent and progressive leadership positions within nursing and/or hospital services administration. Required License/Certification: • Valid California Registered Nursing License • Certification in nursing administration required within one year of hire. • Fire and Safety Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date.
