Associate Director of Development

The USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology seeks an Associate Director of Development to grow and sustain corporate and foundation support, manage key events and help secure leadership annual gifts and major gifts for its programs.

The oldest and largest school of gerontology in the nation, USC Davis promotes an interdisciplinary approach to the study of aging and provides vital services to the Los Angeles community. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Development, the Associate Director of Development will secure support for Davis students, faculty, programs and facilities in alignment with the school’s strategic priorities. He or she will create strategies and build programs to engage corporate and foundation funders as well as related individual donors.

The University of Southern California is engaged in a multi-year effort to secure $6 billion or more in private support. It is the largest and most important campaign in the university’s history. Since its launch in 2011, The Campaign for the University of Southern California has raised more than $5.8 billion. Visionary direction, unprecedented contribution and unwavering dedication are needed for USC to realize its goal and establish itself among the world’s most preeminent research universities.

The ideal candidate for the above position will have five years of experience fundraising in a major campaign environment. He or she will have a strong track record of securing corporate and foundation investments, project and event management and possess documented success building and/or growing a corporate and foundation relations program. Professional experience in higher education is preferred.

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree, combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
Minimum Experience: 3 years, combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience
Minimum Field of Expertise: Fundrasing, campaigns and/or volunteer management
