The Division of Dental Public Health & Pediatric Dentistry is looking for an independent and driven Budget/Business Technician to join its team! The highly motivated individual will perform a combination of duties related to the processing and monitoring of business transactions for an academic, research, administrative or auxiliary department.
Responsibilities include: assists in the setup, maintenance, and monitoring of department accounts; prepares, processes, and reviews paperwork; inputs financial data to ledgers, reconciles internal records, and researches and corrects errors; monitors blanket requisitions charges; monitors and/or controls expenditures for inter-campus and external vendors; interfaces with purchasing external vendors, and processes payrolls for faculty, staff, and students.
This individual will assist with budget preparation for grant proposals, periodic financial reports, and collects information in developing budget projections. In addition, this individual will perform other related duties as assigned or requested. The university reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and detail oriented. In addition, the candidate will be comfortable managing multiple projects, meeting strict deadlines, and have strong communication skills. It is critical for the successful candidate to have prior experience with accounts payable, income and expense accounting and reconcilement, budget preparation, financial spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, and relevant financial computer software.

Minimum Education: High school or equivalent, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education Minimum Experience: 2 years Minimum Field of Expertise: Directly related office financial experience to provide a knowledge of accounts payable, income and expense accounting and reconcilement, and budget preparation.
