Seeking a full-time Clinical Sport Psychologist for the Division of Student Mental Health in the USC Keck School of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry to provide services exclusively to the university’s student athletes.

The position is the result of a joint collaboration between USC Student Counseling Services and the Athletic Department. The psychologist will work under the supervision of the Associate Director at Student Counseling Services in charge of Clinical & Sport Psychology Services for Athletics. The responsibilities include providing individual psychotherapy, crisis intervention and on-call services, and performance enhancement for 21 teams and approximately 630 student athletes at an NCAA Division I University.
Applicants must be licensed as a psychologist in good standing and have a Doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program, and preferably have completed an accredited APA-predoctoral internship. Experience in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds is essential. Experience as a college athlete would be helpful, but not necessary. Organizational skills, follow through, and an ability to work independently in a responsible manner are all essential to this position. A good understanding of boundaries and professional ethics is a must.
This is a faculty position in the Division of Student Mental Health in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. The position is full-time.
