Keck Medicine of USC includes the Keck School of Medicine of USC, the region’s first medical school; the renowned USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, one of the first comprehensive cancer centers established by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States; the USC Care Medical Group, a medical faculty practice; the Keck Medical Center of USC, which includes two acute care hospitals: 401-licensed bed Keck Hospital of USC and 60-licensed bed USC Norris Cancer Hospital; and USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, a 158-licensed bed community hospital. This position provides the analytical/technical skills needed for leading the implementation and coordination of supply chain management processes with the materials management information system (Lawson).This position is responsible for ongoing analysis of Materials Management information, obtained from a variety of sources, primarily the MMIS system and supporting benchmarking system. It involves development and preparation of information tools for the sourcing team to be utilized in conjunction with contract and product cost benefit analyses as well as Capital expenditures ROI analyses. It requires the ability to analyze health care supply chain data from conceptualization through presentation of the data. This position also involves day to day maintenance of the MMIS data sets, month-end close and cycle reporting. It requires proficiency with analytical tools (e.g. Excel), knowledge of data analysis methodology, use of presentation software, strong communication skills and a strong commitment to and affinity for delivering the highest level of customer service.
-High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (preferred)
-2 Years or combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience.
-Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
-Competent using Lawson or equivalent MMIS system.
-Adept at queries and report writing.
-Knowledge of cost analytics and ROI analyses preferred.
-Experience in data mining techniques and procedures and knowing when to use appropriately.
-Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner.
-Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and facilitation skill with strong customer service emphasis Healthcare Materials Management background or experience preferred.
-Valid Fire and Safety Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date.
