Director of Development III

SOM - Development Office Los Angeles, California

The Director of Development will help create and implement a strong major gifts fundraising program for the Keck School of Medicine of USC. This position reports to the Sr. Associate Dean of the Keck School of Medicine and will serve as the lead fundraiser and strategist for individual and major gift development prospects for assigned campaign priorities, service lines and research areas.  This position plays a key role in meeting with donors and will solicit prospective donors with the goal of securing funds and meeting fundraising goals of the campaign for the Keck School of Medicine.  The Director of Development will work in partnership with leadership of several departments and their faculty. This position will also be responsible for working with research faculty engagement, creating an annual development and fundraising work plan, and volunteer and donor management.   The Sr. Director will  successfully grow and manage a major gift portfolio of 150 prospects to meet assigned campaign fundraising goals and objectives for the Keck School of Medicine of USC. 

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
Minimum Experience: 5 years, Combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience
Minimum Field of Expertise: Major campaign, fundraising, public relations and/or volunteer management experience.
