We are seeking a Director to join our rapidly growing team.

Then this is the job for you! As our Director, you will be a strategic business leader who oversees our numerous properties on- and off-campus. You will ensure the coordination of management, staff, products, budgets, and services for all locations in order to establish consistently excellent service. Provide overall leadership and strategic planning for the management and administration of the Housing program. Actively assess departmental needs and priorities and respond accordingly through quality services, programs, and ensures compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, standards, and laws.
Work in collaboration with departmental and divisional leadership in the development of the annual department budget. Manage the revenue generated by housing agreements, summer conferences, and other enterprises.
Develop and implement a comprehensive housing plan in conjunction with the Vice President, Auxiliary Services and COO of the LA Memorial Coliseum.
Coordinate strategic planning processes for facilities, maintenance, renovation, and new construction
Establish appropriate timelines for the housing assignment dates, room change dates, consolidation dates, and deadlines
Directly or indirectly supervise all staff assigned to division, usually through subordinate managers and assistant managers. Determine staffing needs based on goals and objectives of division.
Oversee recruitment, hiring, orientation, training, and supervision of division’s staff. Oversee performance evaluation process, ensuring consistent use of applicable policies and procedures.
Direct other managers in short- and long-term planning, setting of goals and strategies, development of departmental policies and procedures, and ongoing evaluation of operational effectiveness.
Maintain currency with and understand and ensure Housing compliance with all university and departmental policies and procedures and with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Develop, implement, and administer plan for effective communications program within Housing.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. The University reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience: 7 years.
Directly related experience in residential, housing, and/or University management.
Expert knowledge of housing and/or residential life.
Ability to manage sponsored projects and fundraise.
Budget development and control experience.
Ability to manage, coach, train, counsel, and evaluate employees.
What We Prefer:
Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Experience in a transferable leadership role managing multiple processes or 7-10 years of relevant experience is preferred.
Proven experience in utilizing structured project management methodologies and best practices in the delivery of projects/ programs to internal stakeholders is preferred.
