Enrollment Research Associate

Office of Strategic Enrollment Services Los Angeles, California

Summary of Position

Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Research, the Enrollment Research Associate will be responsible for enrollment data, market research, website analytics and assist with general reporting across the business unit and school. The core elements of the role include collecting and validating data from multiple databases and sources, interpreting data and analyzing results using statistical techniques, authoring reports and developing data visualizations and dashboards, and writing procedures that will allow for easier access and ongoing analysis of data. The Research Associate will leverage data to identify and solve business problems.  Cross-functional communication and the ability to create visually compelling presentations, that tell a story through data, is key.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

40% - Enrollment Reporting

  • Manage weekly and bi-weekly enrollment pacing reports to ensure senior leadership has a clear understanding of how enrollment is pacing towards targets.
  • Under supervision, develop dashboards to make high level data available to stakeholders across the school.
  • Create presentations that make data accessible to executives, junior team members and business stakeholders.
  • Under supervision, identify and carry out approved data projects and reporting to enhance the effectiveness of recruitment activities and school as a whole.
  • Pull and check data report to stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timeliness are met.
  • Under supervision, uncover patterns in applicant behavior or background that helps the business unit promote the school’s mission of advancing educational equity.
  • Conduct general market research as requested to validate new programs and understand the competitive landscape.
  • Prepare reports, data visualizations, and dashboards using tools, infographics and macro-enabled workbooks.
  • Scrape, collect, filter, and validate data

30% - Website Analytics

  • In collaboration with Webmaster, leverage Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and other tools to understand user experience on web platforms.
  • Translate data into compelling and actionable insights that decision makers will use to optimize the user experience.
  • Under supervision, work to achieve full attribution by understanding users journey across web properties and interactions in the CRM.

30% - CRM Administration

  • Perform weekly activities related to the regular maintenance and administration of the Strategic Enrollment Services data systems with a focus on the Admissions CRM (Technolutions Slate). This includes but is not limited to: assisting with the creation of data imports and exports processes; maintaining and updating queries and rules; troubleshooting issues across the system; and supporting CRM best practices.
  • Working with the recruitment and marketing teams, manage all events and event communication in the CRM.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong attention to detail; ability to communicate to technical and non-technical audiences; working knowledge of some of the following: Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, SurveyGizmo, CRMs, Tableau/Power BI, SQL, advanced excel (VBA a plus), PowerPoint and eagerness to solve business and operational challenges through technology and data. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment are essential. The candidate must be detail oriented, and have strong analytical and organizational skills.

Demonstrated interpersonal, critical thinking and communication skills.
