USC Gould School of Law is seeking an adjunct lecturer to instruct Venture Capital and Emerging Companies for the spring 2019 semester.

This two-unit course introduces students to the unique legal and financial aspects of the venture capital industry and the practice skills needed to represent emerging companies, entrepreneurs and VC investors.  The course covers the legal, financial and strategic issues that arise in contracts between venture capitalists and the emerging companies in which they invest.  It explores the financing life cycle of the emerging company from the different points of view of key stakeholders in the industry: founders, employees, angel investors, venture capitalists and other financial backers.

The course is taught at the law school, and applicants must have a JD, at least ten years of relevant experience, and must reside in the area.

This is a non-benefits eligible position.
