Member Experience Specialist (Floater)

Member Services Los Angeles, California

USC Credit Union is a dynamic $570 million credit union located steps from USC's University Park campus near Downtown Los Angeles. We're looking for an eager candidate to join our Member Services team! Our team works to enable our member-owners to fulfill their financial dreams! The Member Experience Specialist will support all Member Services departments and will be stationed primarily in the Credit Union Building supporting our Digital Experience Department. When additional support is required for other teams, the Member Experience Specialist will relocate to provide assistance. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Retail Experience and will participate in establishing and upholding member experience standards across all retail branches and remote channels at USC Credit Union.

Duties include:

  • Providing high-quality, consultative service to members
  • Establishing new credit union memberships
  • Cross-selling products and services that meet members' needs
  • Originating, processing, and funding consumer loans
  • Responding to member inquiries remotely and in-person
  • Solving complex member issues with confidence
  • Participating in business development activities
  • Supporting retail branches and remote channels
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree 
  • Have 2-3 years of experience in a financial institution
  • Be knowledgeable in credit union regulations and guidelines
  • Be flexible with scheduling that includes hours Monday-Saturday
  • Pass a pre-employment background and credit check

Minimum Education: High school or equivalent Minimum Experience: Must be familiar with Word, Excel and Outlook. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills. Has effective organizational skills. Utilizes effective sales techniques with limited supervision. Able to consistently meet or exceed established performance goals in a financial services environment.
