We seek an applicant with a deep understanding of language development and instruction for all students, with a specialized focus on supporting the needs of English Learners to teach in our graduate MAT teacher preparation program. The specific teaching area of interest may include first and second language acquisition, academic language development across the curriculum, language and culturally-relevant pedagogy, programs and practices for teaching English learners, including bilingual and alternative programs. The ideal candidate will show evidence of teaching excellence in graduate level classrooms including teaching in online settings. Bilingual authorization or equivalent credential in teaching English learners in bilingual programs and pre-service and in-service teacher education and supervision is highly desired.
This position is an instructional, non-tenure track faculty appointment with a 12-month renewable contract.
