Postdoc Scholar - Research Associate

The Page Lab at the University of Southern California announces the availability of a Post-doctoral fellowship funded through NIH grants awarded to Dr. Katie Page. Stipend is based on NIH Postdoctoral pay scale.

Job Summary: A funded postdoctoral position is available within the Page Lab for Brain Regulation of Appetite Control & Eating Behavior at the Diabetes and Obesity Research at the University of Southern California.

Principal Responsibilities: The applicant with work with a team of researchers using neuroimaging modalities, physiological, dietary, physical activity, cognitive, and behavioral assessments to investigate brain regulation of eating behavior and metabolism. Individuals with experience in translational research involving multimodal neuroimaging analyses, statistics, nutrition, exercise physiology, neurocognition, and/or glucose metabolism are preferred.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • PhD in neuroscience, biological science, psychology or a closely related field
  • Experience in human based research and neuroimaging with a strong interest in the brain regulation of energy balance and metabolic function
  • Ability to analyze data and to write manuscripts
  • Motivated, positive outlook and ability to troubleshoot

A little about us: The Page Lab has two major research programs: (i) neuroendocrine regulation of appetite and glucose homeostasis, and (ii) maternal-fetal programming for obesity and diabetes. Our translational research program addresses questions from a broad prospective by combining a number of disciplines (neuroscience, physiology, nutrition, psychology) and novel techniques to tackle the roots of obesity and type 2 diabetes.
