The University of Southern California invites applications for a teaching position in the Systems Architecting and Engineering program ( in the USC Viterbi School of Engineering.  We are looking for outstanding faculty candidates at all ranks.  This is a full-time, benefits-eligible faculty position on the non-tenure track.  The ideal candidate would have the experience and knowledge necessary to teach graduate courses in the primary areas of systems architecting and engineering.  The anticipated start date is August 16, 2022.

Applicants must have an earned doctoral degree in systems engineering or a related field, as well as a research and publication record.  Applications must include a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a teaching statement, and names of at least three professional/teaching references. Applicants are encouraged to include a succinct statement on fostering an environment of diversity and inclusion.  Applicants may optionally include a research statement.  These materials should be submitted electronically at by June 30, 2022.  Review of applications will begin immediately. Applications submitted after June 30, 2022, may not be considered.

The USC Viterbi School of Engineering is among the top tier of engineering schools in the world. It counts 189 full-time, tenure-track faculty members as well as 117 full-time, research-track and teaching-track faculty.  The School is home to the Information Sciences Institute and is affiliated with the Alfred E. Mann Institute for Biomedical Engineering, the Institute for Creative Technologies, and the USC Stevens Center for Innovation. Research expenditures typically exceed $210 million annually.
