Professor of Neurology (PET Molecular Imaging) Tenure Track

The Department of Neurology, Keck School of Medicine (KSOM), University of Southern California seeks an established NIH funded physician-scientist at the full Professor level (tenure track) whose research focuses on molecular imaging in disorders of the central nervous system (CNS) including identification of salient targets and human applications.  The candidate will play a leadership role with the new PET Research Center, which will include the development and characterization of novel PET ligands and quantitative PET image analyses, for both preclinical and human imaging and provide collaborative technical and scientific support.  The PET Center includes a new state-of-the-art cyclotron, which is operated under the aegis of the School of Medicine.  USC is home to the world-renowned Stevens Neuroimaging and Informatics Center and an NIA-funded Alzheimer Disease Research Center. The candidate will hold a full-time appointment in the Department of Neurology.   Qualifications include: MD, with Board certification in Nuclear Medicine and California license eligible.  Desired qualifications: PhD or associated advanced scientific graduate degree,  robust track record of funding by the NIH, expertise in INDs,  extensive  experience with multi-disciplinary and grant collaborations, proven track record of facilitating and technically supporting cross departmental research, experience with departmental or higher research administration/leadership appropriate for coordinating sophisticated molecular imaging partnerships, and  successful and sustained imaging collaborations with industry.
