Professor (Open Rank) of Molecular and Computational Biology

The Molecular and Computational Biology (MCB) section in the Department of Biological Sciences at the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences, University of Southern California (USC) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the broad area of cryo-electron microscopy (CryoEM). All candidates at the level of Assistant Professor and exceptional candidates at higher rank will be considered. The successful candidate will have access to superb resources including a Titan Krios and a Glacios Cryo-TEM, both equipped with direct electron detectors. MCB is located on the University Park Campus in Los Angeles, and enjoys a highly collaborative faculty body with diverse biological and biomedical research interests as well as close interactions with other faculty in the Viterbi School of Engineering, Davis School of Gerontology, Keck School of Medicine, and Norris Cancer Center. We are especially interested in attracting candidates who share our commitment to teaching and fostering a climate that embraces collaboration, excellence and diversity.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree with extensive expertise in cryo-electron microscopy, a strong record of research accomplishments, and a plan for developing a first-rate research program.
