Program Coordinator (Fixed Term) USC Marshall School of Business Global Programs and Partnerships
The Office of Global Programs and Partnerships is seeking a program coordinator to join its team.
The Office of Global Programs and Partnerships (GPP) plays a critical role in the realization of Marshall’s globalization emphasis. GPP is a one-stop shop for students, faculty and staff who travel internationally as part of their curriculum in programs both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. GPP also manages the MBA International Exchange Program (MBA IEP). Each year GPP serves over 1,400 participants in these programs.
The Program Coordinator works specifically with an Associate Director to support the undergraduate international experiential learning programs and the MBA IEP.
Please note that this is a fixed-term position (January 2019 – May 2019).
Responsibilities and Duties
Manages and maintains the Global Programs and Partnerships database
Manages correspondence with program participants, including students, faculty and staff
Manages the collection of required documents, such as release forms, travel documents, etc.
Advises and provides counseling to program participants on matters of traveling, including visa regulations; facilitates visa application process for program participants
Prepares program materials
Assists in planning and administering program events, such as the MBA IEP information session, etc.
Works with other USC offices and vendors to ensure that program participants are appropriately prepared to travel on the programs
3+ years’ experience working with undergraduate students
Strong program/project management skills
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis in Word (i.e., ability to create forms & tables, signs, labels, data sorts, mail merges, etc.), Excel (i.e., ability to work with formulas, database functions, and create spreadsheets) and Outlook.
Ability to conduct web searches for research
Experience with event planning and execution
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree; combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
Minimum Experience: 1 year; combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience
Minimum Field of Expertise: Administrative support services
