Programmer Analyst IV

Cancer Center Los Angeles, California

USC Norris Cancer Center and the Cancer Research Informatics Core (CRIC) is seeking a Programmer/Analyst IV.  Over the last 18 years the CRIC team has developed software to support the research activities of USC investigators, and the Cancer Center.

In this senior level position, you will program windows installed applications, and websites.  You will also perform database queries, data transfers, and create reports.  You will analyze problems, document requirements, and design software solutions.  You will maintain and improve our most complex code frameworks.  You will lead projects and teams, and there may be further management opportunities.

The following skills are what we are looking for.  You do not need to have all of these skills, but having more of these is highly preferred.

VB.Net

ASP.Net

SQL Server

Front and back-end website development

HTML, JavaScript & JQuery

Framework development

Medidata Rave

SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)

SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)

C#.Net

ASP.Net MVC

Official job summary:

Serves as a project leader for large and complex software application projects, or as a specialist providing technical consulting on complex projects. Formulates and defines system scope and objectives. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems. Prepares detailed application design specifications. Oversees program design, coding, testing, debugging, installation, documentation and maintenance. Has full technical knowledge of programming and analysis, and instructs, directs and reviews the work of other programming staff.


Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree

Minimum Experience: 5 years

Minimum Field of Expertise: Relevant work experience providing strong technical knowledge of programming and analysis, and senior or lead experience.
