Project Manager

Medicine - Pulm - Pat. Care Los Angeles, California

A Project Manager position is available immediately for a highly motivated individual to work with the Division Administrator and Principal Investigator in managing all phases of the Hastings Center for Pulmonary Research Foundation, large project grant, gift accounts and any subcontracts.  The candidate will provide leadership and direction for day-to-day project operations and administrative activities. Participates in the planning, design and development of project protocols, data acquisition and management, analysis and reporting of study results. Preferred education is a Master’s Degree plus 5 years of experience.

Duties include:

  • Monitor income and expenses
  • Analyze budget performance
  • Manages Numerous Grant Budgets
  • Develops and manages special project budgets.
  • Adhere University financials policy and procedures
  • Plan and participates in meetings/retreats/symposia
  • Assists faculty and staff in financial transactions such as purchasing equipment, supplies and accounting for travel expenditures and reimbursements.
  • Reconciles account balances and activity to university financial records and initiates correcting entries.
  • Prepares and submits financial reports as required and reviews for accuracy prior to distribution.

  • Organization and Time management


Preferred Education: Masters

Preferred Experience: 5 Years

Preferred Field of Expertise: Grant Management, Accounting and Finance

Percentage of Time: 100%

Fixed Term:  1 July 2018 – 30 June 2019

Minimum Education: Master's degree, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
Minimum Experience: 5 years, Combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience
Minimum Field of Expertise: Directly related education and project administration experience in specialized field represented by project
