Keck Medicine of USC

Keck Medicine of USC includes the Keck School of Medicine of USC, the region’s first medical school; the renowned USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, one of the first comprehensive cancer centers established by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States; the USC Care Medical Group, a medical faculty practice; the Keck Medical Center of USC, which includes two acute care hospitals: 401-licensed bed Keck Hospital of USC and 60-licensed bed USC Norris Cancer Hospital; and USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, a 158-licensed bed community hospital. It also includes more than 40 outpatient facilities, some at affiliated hospitals, in Los Angeles, Orange, Kern, Tulare and Ventura counties.

In 2016, U.S. News & World Report ranked Keck Medical Center of USC among the Top 10 hospitals in the state and among the Top 50 hospitals in the United States in seven specialties: ophthalmology, urology, cancer, geriatrics, orthopedic surgery, nephrology and cardiology and heart surgery.

Psychologist - Engemann - Per Diem

Engemann Student Health Los Angeles, California

Serves on a per diem basis. Under the general supervision of the Counseling Director, provide individual and group counseling services, assessment and crisis intervention to the health and life science graduate students (e.g. Medicine, Pharmacy, OT, PT) of the USC Health Science Campus. This individual will also develop and implement outreach programs for the students, faculty and/or staff of the campus and address crises as they arise. Provides psychological consultation services for other University departments, as requested.

Must be able to work a Saturday shift (9am to 2pm) during the academic year; must be able to work Friday afternoon until 5pm; Cultural sensitivity and able to work with young adults from various backgrounds and nationalities.                               


Minimum Education:

Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an accredited school of Psychology, California license eligible.

Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) education and Certificate preferred.


Minimum Experience/Knowledge:

1 year of experience. Counseling experience (can be pre-doctoral internship). Bloodborne pathogens training.


Preferred: 2 years of experience. Counseling experience with college age population. Meditation/relaxation/anxiety interventions/OCD; Experience with eating disorders and/or ADHD/learning disabilities/couples counseling. Multi-lingual a plus.

Licensed as a Psychologist
