Research Lab Technician II

Cancer Center - Oncology Los Angeles, California

USC Norris Cancer Center, Division of Oncology is looking for a Research Lab Tech II. The Research Lab Tech II coordinates and performs research projects, keep records of the data and take active part in designing research experiments and evaluating results. Organizing lab and responsible for equipment maintenance and overseeing supplies.

Other job responsibilities include:

The Research Lab Tech II will maintain in vitro cultures, mice colony maintenance and procedures with mice such injections and surgeries, Experiments with animal tissues, clinical samples collection and maintaining records.


Prepare buffers, media and running the in vitro and in vivo assays. Cell and molecule
biology experiments related to DNA,RNA and protein from cell, animal or clinical
specimen.


Maintain records of the experimental results, clinical samples data management,
ordering supplies and updating the inventory, organizing lab and regular
maintenance of equipment, Discussions with senior colleagues for project updates.

Preferred experience: Two years of research experience in basic science research.


Minimum Education: Associate's degree, Specialized/technical training, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education Minimum Experience: 2 years Minimum Field of Expertise: Working knowledge of laboratory equipment and research protocols. Knowledge of computer analysis techniques and ability to provide routine analysis and interpretation of research data.
