Research Project Interviewer

Keck School of Medicine Los Angeles, California

We are delighted to announce an opening for a full-time Research Project Interviewer in the lab of Dr. Kathleen Page Laboratory at the University of Southern California, beginning July 2021.

The Page Lab researches how health conditions such as obesity and diabetes are impacted by the functions of the brain. Specifically, the Page lab is interested in understanding how the brain regulates appetite and eating behavior, and in identifying early life determinants of obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease. This would be an excellent position for a recent graduate seeking to gain additional research experience prior to graduate school. The successful candidate will be highly-motivated, reliable, conscientious, and organized.

Responsibilities

The candidatewill play an integral role in communications with PI and other lab staff and functioning of various clinical research activities.

  • Lab management tasks (10% time

  • Ordering supplies

  • Organizing materials and resources

  • Research tasks (90% time

  • Maintaining Institutional Review Board protocols

  • Subject recruitment

  • Administration of (neuroimaging and behavioral) research sessions

  • Support in database organization and quality checks

  • Entering, initial processing of imaging data, and managing data

Preferred:

Preferred Education: B.A. or B.S. in psychology, neuroscience or related field

Preferred Experience:Research interests in neuroscience of feeding behavior

Percentage of Time: 100%

Fixed Term: July 1, 2021June 30, 2022


Minimum Education: High school or equivalent Minimum Experience: 1 year Minimum Field of Expertise: Knowledge of data collection procedures and some experience with proposal preparation and production of technical documents
