Keck Medicine of USC includes the Keck School of Medicine of USC, the region’s first medical school; the renowned USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, one of the first comprehensive cancer centers established by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States; the USC Care Medical Group, a medical faculty practice; the Keck Medical Center of USC, which includes two acute care hospitals: 401-licensed bed Keck Hospital of USC and 60-licensed bed USC Norris Cancer Hospital; and USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, a 158-licensed bed community hospital. It also includes more than 40 outpatient facilities, some at affiliated hospitals, in Los Angeles, Orange, Kern, Tulare and Ventura counties.

Risk Analyst - Risk Management - Full TIme 8 Hour Days

The Risk Management Analyst (Data and Education) supports the Office of Integrated Risk Management by providing departmental expertise in health care informatics, consisting of  data base management, developing targeted and timely data reports and dashboards, data entry, data analysis, and regular document/report generation; providing educational programs and maintenance of the enterprise risk management education calendar;  administrative support consisting of meeting preparation, auditing and regulatory quality control; and assisting with the coordination and facilitation of root cause analysis and intensive reviews. This role is critical to the Office’s commitment to collaborative, data-driven risk management and risk mitigation services to the Keck Medicine system as a whole. 

Minimum Education:

Bachelor Degree, Master Degree preferred

Minimum Experience/Knowledge:

- Five years of experience in risk management, quality, performance improvement, patient relations, safety or other related healthcare position/setting (Preferred);
- Knowledge of JCAHO, Title 22, and CMS regulations pertaining to healthcare (Preferred);
- Knowledge of principles, practices, processes, quality assessment, performance improvement functions, and legal concepts related to healthcare or related field (Preferred);
- LEAN or Six Sigma Certification (Preferred)

Required License/Certification:

Fire and Safety Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date.
