RN Clinical Quality Specialist - Quality & Outcomes Management - Full Time 8 Hour Days (Non-Exempt) (Non-Union)

As an integral part of the Quality and Outcomes Management Department, the functions of this position include responsibility for screening, collecting and analyzing information from various sources such as patient records, databases, and outcome reports.  Vital components of this position include the ability to identify opportunities to improve care and outcomes implementing plans to achieve the desired goals and accurate and timely submission of information.

Minimum Education: • Bachelor degree in nursing or a related field. Current Registered Nurse License Minimum Experience/Knowledge: • Five years or more in an acute care setting preferred. • Must have least 2 years of critical care experience, preferably recent experience. • Requires critical thinking skills and organization in prioritizing a workload of multiple tasks. • Experience in quality improvement/peer review preferred. • Management experience preferred. • Works independently with minimal instruction. • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written skills. Required License/Certification: • Current Registered Nurse License, CPHQ preferred • Competency validated to perform abstraction of information into Quantros for Core Measures, SCIP and any other applicable initiative. • Fire and Safety Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date.
