Keck Medicine of USC includes the Keck School of Medicine of USC, the region’s first medical school; the renowned USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, one of the first comprehensive cancer centers established by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States; the USC Care Medical Group, a medical faculty practice; the Keck Medical Center of USC, which includes two acute care hospitals: 401-licensed bed Keck Hospital of USC and 60-licensed bed USC Norris Cancer Hospital; and USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, a 158-licensed bed community hospital. It also includes more than 40 outpatient facilities, some at affiliated hospitals, in Los Angeles, Orange, Kern, Tulare and Ventura counties.

Senior Clinical Marketing Specialist - Health System Marketing and Communications - FT 8 Hour Days

The Senior Clinical Marketing Specialist in USC’s Health Sciences Public Relations & Marketing department administers a set of annual clinical priority programs and acts as a lead to the marketing department for those services. This position develops marketing planning for those services, implements advertising, direct mail, collateral development, promotional material and tracks the tactics’ success.


Minimum Education:
-Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field, or equivalent knowledge required.
-Master’s degree in related field preferred.

Minimum Experience/Knowledge:
-Three years of health-care marketing experience is required. Five or more years of experience with increasing responsibility is preferred. Academic healthcare experience is recommended.
-Demonstrated knowledge and experience with project management, marketing strategy, vendor management, creative services (writing, copy editing, graphic design) and other communication applications.
-Proficiency in Microsoft software and interactive technologies is preferred.
-Demonstrated ability in building/developing relationships, thinking critically and public speaking is required.
-Proven ability to analyze situations, define objectives and develop short- and long-term strategies to fulfill them is necessary.
-Skilled in writing and editing.
-Proven self-starter who earns the respect of others by carefully listen and presenting productive responses and/or results.

Required License/Certification:
-Fire and Safety Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date.
