Support Coordinator - Cardiovascular Lab - Full Time 8 Hour Days (Non-Exempt) (Non-Union)

As an integral part of the Cardiac Cath Lab Department, the Support Coordinator provides clerical and patient care support for the staff and the physicians.

This job description is based on job performance evaluation emphasizing the criteria expected in the performance of the Support Coordinator.  The employee is evaluated on their specific management responsibilities, as well as their overall knowledge and ability to perform all required duties. The Support Coordinator

  • Will provide support with all of the department’s medical supplies and equipment, including: receiving, ordering, storing and maintaining par level. 
  • Will assist the manager in identifying and maintaining charge codes for supplies. 

Will be responsible for billing of department procedures and supplies.


Minimum Education: • High school graduate or equivalent Minimum Experience/Knowledge: • Minimum of 2 years of general office including keyboarding skills, fax machines, personal computers, photocopiers, computer network, and filing systems. • One-year experience in an acute hospital, outpatient department or physician’s office preferred. • Familiarity with word processing, Cerner, PBAR and scheduling software is preferred. • Thorough knowledge of all cardiac cath lab supplies utilized in the medical facility, preferred. Required License/Certification: • Fire and Safety Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date.
