Teaching-Track Faculty Position and Director of the Russian Basic Language Program

Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences Faculty Los Angeles, California

The Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures in the Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California, invites applicants for a full-time, teaching-track faculty position as Director of the Basic Language Program in Russian, ideally to begin August 16, 2021.  Possible titles, depending on merit, background, and experience are:  Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Master Lecturer, Assistant, Associate, or Professor (Teaching).  The successful candidate must have demonstrated excellence in teaching.  His or her qualifications should include an M.A. or PhD in Applied Linguistics or Russian/Slavic with a scholarly or practical background in second language acquisition.  Candidates will ideally also have experience supervising other instructors, mentoring graduate assistant lecturers, and developing curriculum.  Applicants should submit a letter of application, curriculum vitae, and the names of three referees who will be contacted by USC for a letter of reference. In order to be considered for this position, all candidates must apply via the "Apply" link at the top or bottom of this page.
