Teaching-Track Faculty Positions, East Asian Languages and Cultures

The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures in the Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California, may have one or more openings for part-time or full-time lecturers to assist with undergraduate instruction. Areas of potential needs include Chinese, Japanese and Korean language teaching at all levels, calligraphy, East Asian film, literature, performance, culture and media studies.

Applicants must have a Ph.D in a relevant area of Chinese, Korean, or Japanese studies (or at least an M.A. for language teaching) by the start of the appointment and must demonstrate teaching excellence in the relevant areas. To apply, please submit a curriculum vitae, a cover letter that includes a statement of teaching interests, recent teaching evaluations, and the names of three individuals who will be contacted by USC for a letter of reference. At least two of the referees should speak to teaching abilities. Review of material is to begin immediately. The positions will remain open until filled.
