Tenure-track Asst/Assoc/or Professor of Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine and Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery

USC Departments of Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine and the Caruso Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery are seeking to hire a Tenured or Tenure-Track Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor with strong research programs in auditory and/or vestibular research focused around inner ear development and regeneration. This search is open to a wide range of potential candidates, and research approaches can involve either human subjects or animal models.

The principle criterion for appointment in a tenured or tenure-track positon is a major commitment to research and teaching. Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the candidate.

Necessary qualifications for this position are the ability to conduct high-impact, federally­ funded independent research. Candidates must have a substantial track record of significant research, as demonstrated by publication and funding history. A PhD or MD degree is required. The successful candidate must be committed to bridging research and translational approaches between our two listed departments and capable of interacting productively with colleagues, including graduate students, post-docs, residents, other research PIs, and clinicians, with different backgrounds and interests. In addition, the position will involve the mentorship of junior faculty members and the education of trainees depending on the level of appointment.
