The USC Keck School of Medicine - Alzheimer Therapeutic Research Institute (ATRI), located in San Diego, California is an academic institute comprised of an expert panel of scientific collaborators committed to advancing the development of new treatments for Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) through innovative clinical trials.
The University of Southern California and the Alzheimer's Therapeutic Research Institute (ATRI) invites applications for a part-time Professor position within the Medical & Safety team. The position of Faculty Medical Outreach & Education Coordinator is responsible for examining the safety aspects of a clinical trial providing medical experience as a physician to advise and educate on how the protocol and safety events are to be evaluated. Incumbent will provide physician opinions concerning safety analysis for multiple clinical trials run by the Institute. Incumbent will consult on protocol design, patient safety concerns, adjudicating adverse events, and provide medical expertise to Institute and site staff.
In addition, the position will be responsible for community engagement, outreach, and education for the Institute. This will include, but is not limited to:
- Serving as a guest lecturer for local organizations.
- Serving as a topic expert and resource representing the Institute for media.
- Partnering with local organizations to enhance awareness of the field and the Institute.
- Engaging media to educate the public and raise local and regional awareness of the Institute.
