Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine (Part-Time)

The Division of Street Medicine, within the Department of Family Medicine is seeking a board-certified Family Physician or Internist with experience in HIV Medicine for a part-time (1 day per week) faculty position at the Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine (Clinician Educator) level or higher. The ideal candidate is a skilled clinician and educator ready to dedicate themselves to support our patients experiencing unsheltered homelessness and living with HIV.
The part-time HIV Physician will engage in direct patient care, as well as supervising learners including medical students, PA students, Family Medicine residents and HIV Fellows. All patient care is field based, either on the street or at interim housing sites.
This is a part-time, in-person faculty position at the Alhambra, CA office.

The Department of Family Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC includes a robust Keck Medicine clinical practice, the Keck Family Medicine Residency Program, the Primary Care Physician Assistant Program, USC Student Health, the National Center on Elder Abuse, medical student education, broad research and educational activities and USC Street Medicine.
Essential Functions of the Street Medicine HIV Physician
• Provide high quality field-based direct patient care to patients living with HIV and experiencing unsheltered homelessness within their lived environment on the street or wherever they are found.
• Work collaboratively with other members of the Street Medicine HIV team, including nursing, Community Health Workers and administration.
• Communicate with Primary Care Street Medicine teams and other clinicians within USC Street Medicine.
• Supervise clinical learners including, but not limited to Physician Assistant program students, medical students, Family Medicine residents, HIV Fellows and others.
• Support goals of Quality Improvement within Street Medicine HIV practice.
• Alignment with the mission, vision, values of USC Street Medicine and the Department of Family Medicine
Experience:
Required:
Medical Degree
Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Minimum 1 year post-residency experience including caring for patients living with HIV
Preferred:
AAHIV Certification or Board Certification in Infectious Diseases

The hourly rate range for this position is $108.90 - $115.40.
