Clinical Instructor of Family Medicine (Clinician Educator) Part-Time Spanish Linguist Instructor

The Department of Family Medicine of the Keck School of Medicine of USC provides care for every member of the family, across generations and over lifetimes. We aim to enhance the quality of life for underserved and vulnerable patients, while educating future generations of highly skilled, compassionate primary care specialists. Our goal is to combine education, patient advocacy, and evidence-based research to advance family medicine and geriatrics.

The Primary Care Physician Assistant Program at USC is seeking to hire faculty as a Clinical Instructor of Family Medicine (Clinician Educator), an experienced Spanish language instructor to join our program.  The ideal candidate will be fluent in Spanish and have experience with teaching Spanish to graduate learners.  This position is for a part-time, non-tenure track, 12-month clinical faculty appointment.  General responsibilities include preparing weekly medical Spanish content with a PA who is also fluent in Spanish and delivering this content to a variety of learners in the program.  This position also includes some student advisement, participation in research or scholarly activity and service to the program, school, university and community as well as attendance at regular faculty, division, and or committee meetings, and division/department.   The position will remain open until filled.

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in Spanish (Master’s preferred); fluency in Spanish; minimum of three years of education experience. Apply here and upload CV and 3 references.
