Pharmacy Technician - Keck Medicine of USC Specialty Pharmacy

USC's Alfred E. Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is accepting applications for a Pharmacy Technician at the Keck Medicine of USC Specialty Pharmacy. The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for prescription order entry, filling prescriptions, processing refill prescriptions, answering phones, retrieving messages, stocking shelves and supplies, conducting sales, interacting with customers, preparing packages for delivery, scheduling deliveries and preparing reports as necessary. Additional duties will include obtaining prior authorizations, financial assistance, and billing and filing paperwork.

Preferred Experience: McKesson Enterprise Pharmacy Software, Cerner Electronic Medical Record.

Minimum Education: Specialized/technical training Minimum Experience: 1 year Minimum Field of Expertise: Completion of accredited pharmacy technician training program or equivalent experience as per Board of Pharmacy technician regulations, sec. 1793.4. Knowledge of pharmacy law, rules, regulations, pharmacology & medical terminology, manufacturing procedures. Valid Pharmacy Technician Certificate of Registration, State of California.
