POSITION SUMMARY

A clinically competent C A certified radiology technologist who demonstrates professionalism and is able to operate radiological

equipment in a safe and efficient manner ensuring maximum quality of film, patient safety, and accuracy of information for

interpretation. Provides care services to a critically ill through rehabilitating, newborn through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional and developmental age of the individual served. Functions as a leader of the interdisciplinary diagnostic radiology team. This position requires providing supervision/coordination of department operational activities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform all functions of staff technologist as required
  • Perform other related duties as requires such as assisting in budget preparations and recommend revisions of policy and procedure manual as required
  • Maintain prescribed standards of quality of work and relate these functions to the total mission of Methodist Hospital
  • Keep up to date with changes in the field of radiology technology by study, attending refresher courses and seminars as necessary
  • Perform daily operations in a courteous, honest, and compassionate manner.
  • Comply with all Methodist Hospital Policies and Procedures and all departmental routines and procedures
  • Demonstrate good judgment and the ability to make sound decisions, paying special attention to small details.
  • Alertness to detect conditions dangerous to patients and personnel.
  • Good leader, who personnel will follow and respect.


Education Minimum (Required) • High School graduate. • Accredited Radiology technologist school graduate. Work Experience Minimum (Required) Three years experience in an acute health care environment. Pay Transparency The hourly rate range for this position is $43.20 - $58.08.
