Histology Technician - Lab Pathology - Per Diem 8 Hour Days

The Histology Technician is responsible for tissue processing all tissues and preparing/staining tissue slides and assuring they are of optimal quality and available in a timely manner for Pathologist review and interpretation. 

Minimum Education: An AA or AS degree in a related field preferred, but not required. Minimum Experience/Knowledge: One year experience in an Acute Care Facility setting and 3 years clinical training in an approved Histology Training Program. Prior experience to include: specialized stains, cutting, embedding, computer experience, quality control, QC evaluation, inventory control, preventative maintenance and quality improvement. Required License/Certification: Valid Histology ASCP Certification preferred, but not required.
