Academic Program Specialist
Apply School of Cinematic Arts Los Angeles, CaliforniaUSC’s School of Cinematic Arts is seeking a Program Coordinator for the SCA Summer Program to join its team. USC's School of Cinematic Arts is considered one of the premier film schools in the country and works on the cutting edge of technology in media production and post-production.
The Program Coordinator helps manage the day-to-day operations of the program, which accepts applicants from around the world for a six-week program at SCA.
Responsibilities:
- Provides administrative and/or operational support to team members and/or managers responsible for program development and performance to ensure overall success.
- Plans and implements academic program services and activities -- e.g., scheduling meetings, curriculum development, scheduling classes, organizing program events, etc..
- Researches and contributes to the development of academic programs and/or classes, and provides guidance and modifications.
- Participates in the creation and distribution of program marketing materials and/or in recruiting campaigns.
- Contributes to budget development, processing and monitoring complex financial transactions and researching and resolving discrepancies.
- Provides customer service and performs administrative and clerical tasks and duties as needed to ensure programs, faculty, staff, and students are supported.
- Acts as point of contact for academic programs, and responds or coordinates responses to information requests from students, faculty, and staff.
- Oversees faculty and student worker payroll.
- Manages program budget and reconciles accounts as assigned. Purchases necessary equipment and materials to support classes and the management of the program.
- Reviews applications from students applying to the program and participates in the admission process.
- Participates in the program registration process.
- Maintains and updates all program databases and websites and coordinates distribution of academic program materials
- Manages and implements all University guidelines regarding working with minors (applicants aged 16 &17).
Job Specific information:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in the entertainment industry
Minimum of two years working experience in the entertainment industry.
Must be proficient at multi-tasking.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Film and/or Television.
Knowledge of film/television production to support the courses where student produced content is the focus.

The hourly range for this position is $28.72-$32. Proven project management and problem solving skills, able to handle multiple timelines, changing priorities, and fluctuating workloads.
