Keck Medicine of USC includes the Keck School of Medicine of USC, the region’s first medical school; the renowned USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, one of the first comprehensive cancer centers established by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States; the USC Care Medical Group, a medical faculty practice; the Keck Medical Center of USC, which includes two acute care hospitals: 401-licensed bed Keck Hospital of USC and 60-licensed bed USC Norris Cancer Hospital; and USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, a 158-licensed bed community hospital. It also includes more than 40 outpatient facilities, some at affiliated hospitals, in Los Angeles, Orange, Kern, Tulare and Ventura counties.

Administrative Manager - Clinical Lab - FT 8 Hour Rotating

The Laboratory Support Supervisor is responsible for the day to day supervision of the pre-analytic functions of the clinical laboratory. Must be able to maintain composure during high stress situations and always project a positive and professional image. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; hiring, scheduling, training, coaching, evaluating and disciplining staff to develop a well-qualified team able to enhance operational success of the department. Other duties include the development, writing and maintenance of pertinent policies and procedures. The Laboratory Support Supervisor must demonstrate strong communication skills and establish positive intra-and interdepartmental relationships. As a supervisor, the individual demonstrates skill and sound knowledge of laboratory processes and ensures systems are in place to achieve compliance with regulatory requirements and continuing performance improvements. This position will be responsible for adequate staffing of all pre-analytic areas, scheduling and payroll support, and daily monitoring of charge reconciliation, suspended charge report and remedy issues identified.


Minimum Education:
-AA or BA in related field of study preferred.

Minimum Experience/Knowledge:
-At least 5 years of Supervisory experience in an acute care setting.

Required License/Certification:
-Fire and Safety Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date.
-Specialized or Limited License may be appropriate and even required in specific Sections.
