Admissions Counselor I - Resource Employee

Marshall’s Specialized Masters Program is seeking applicants for a 6-month Resource Employee position to support admission activities for two programs in the Specialized Masters portfolio: Master of Science in Finance and Masters of Science in Business Analytics.

The successful candidate will work on a small team to support all aspects of a students’ application journey under the direction of the Admissions lead officer. 

The ideal applicant for the position has excellent communication skills, is detail oriented, and enjoys managing large quantity of files.  E

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Reporting directly to the admissions lead officer, the incumbent will engage in all phases of the admissions and outreach processes. Team will work together to process over 2,000 applications.

  • Incumbent will process applications, accurately track applicant data, communicate with applicants via email and support other team members with projects, as assigned.

Minimum Qualification: 

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education

  • Minimum Experience: 0 - 6 months

  • Minimum Field of Expertise: Counseling skills and/or academic advisement experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in college admissions within a research institution. 

The hourly rate for this position is $27.50.

This is a hybrid position.  After an initial period of training, successful candidate will be able to work shifts from home.
