Assistant/Associate/Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology

(Oculofacial Plastic Surgery)

The Department of Ophthalmology/Roski Eye Institute, Keck School of Medicine of USC, is seeking a full-time, non-tenure-track, ASOPRS fellowship-trained, board-eligible, or board-certified clinical faculty in oculofacial plastic surgery at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level to join our faculty. The successful candidates will have the academic title of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology.

Job Accountabilities/Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

The qualified applicant will be expected to provide outstanding clinical services in oculofacial plastic surgery and should be actively involved in the teaching and mentoring of medical students, interns, residents, and fellows. Proficiency in orbital, lacrimal, and eyelid surgeries is required. Excellence in facial cosmetic surgeries and procedures is desirable as well. USC Roski Eye Institute has a unique cosmetic service with top-of-the-line lasers and light therapy available to offer clinically.

Qualifications and Experience: 

Surgeons, clinician-educators, clinician-scientists, and board-certified/board-eligible ophthalmologists are welcome to apply.  The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in oculofacial plastic surgery and training in an ASOPRS/AUPO approved fellowship. Qualified candidates must hold an M.D. or equivalent degree and have or eligible to obtain a full, unrestricted California medical license by the time of hire.

Position and Compensation:

This full-time faculty position is exempt with an annual base salary range of $226,000 to $319,000 with productivity incentives. The annual base salary is dependent on the rank hired into and commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. The new faculty will be provided with ample clinical, teaching, research, and leadership opportunities if he/she is interested.
