Assistant Professor of Latin American and Iberian Cultures
Apply Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences Faculty Los Angeles, CaliforniaThe Department of Latin American and Iberian Cultures at the USC Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor, with an anticipated start date of August 16, 2025. The candidate must have a doctoral degree in Spanish or another appropriate field of study by the time of appointment. We prefer expertise in any of these fields: Spanish Peninsular, Lusophone, and U.S. Latinx literatures and cultures. We are also especially interested in candidates who can demonstrate a teaching and scholarly commitment to theoretical and comparative approaches. Normal teaching load per academic year is four courses, including undergraduate courses in the Department and the University’s General Education program as well as graduate seminars in the doctoral program in Comparative Studies in Literature and Culture.

The annual base salary range for this position is $106,400 - $117,600.
