Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy

Occupational Sciences and Occupational Therapy Los Angeles, California

The Mrs. T.H. Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy at the University of Southern California invites applicants for one full-time clinical faculty position. The successful candidate will work with the Division’s current faculty members to advance the Division’s China Initiative, in cooperation with counterparts at Peking University Health Science Center (PUHSC), to assist in developing a world-class master’s degree program at PUHSC.

The primary functions of this position will include working as part of the China Initiative team on developing and translating occupational therapy curriculum; representing the Chan Division in organizing and attending meetings with PUHSC, including all associated travel planning; traveling to Asia; mentoring OTD residents and PUHSC students at USC; scholarship; and may include some classroom lecture and/or clinical instruction.

The desired candidate should possess an earned terminal degree (OTD or PhD in occupational science preferred), national certification as an occupational therapist, and licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of California); experience in overseeing educational initiatives, including development of educational reports, curriculum documents and presentations; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and fluency in Mandarin (reading, writing, and speaking).
