The USC Keck School of Medicine - Alzheimer Therapeutic Research Institute (ATRI), located in San Diego, California is an academic institute comprised of an expert team of scientists and researchers committed to advancing the development of new treatments for Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) through
innovative clinical trials. The Informatics Section at ATRI is an internationally
recognized research group specializing in clinical research informatics and data management of multi-center randomized clinical trials, natural history studies, and participant registries with a focus on Alzheimer’s Disease and
related disorders (ADRD). University of Southern California and the Alzheimer's Therapeutic Research Institute (ATRI) invites applications for an Assistant Professor position in the Informatics section. This is a non-tenured faculty
position with salary and academic rank commensurate with qualifications. The successful candidate must have a doctoral degree in Health Sciences with research focus on Informatics in Clinical Research,
Clinical Trials data management systems development, and remote electronic data capture methodology and design. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong background in Alzheimer's disease (AD)
clinical trials research, and with experience directing a large team in academic Clinical Trials research and interfacing with the pharmaceutical sector. This position will be responsible for the Direction of the ATRI Informatics Unit, a highly collaborative appointment with an emphasis on team science.
The annual base salary range for this position is $140,000-$160,000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
